I’m Bahadır Karasu, a filmmaker and film editor born in Turkey (April 26, 1990).

Over the years, I’ve built a multifaceted career: editing, writing, directing, color grading  whatever it takes to shape a story with meaning and rhythm. My work spans short films, experimental projects, and narrative films, always rooted in a cinematic vision.

I’ve worn many hats  editor on Nyctophilia (where I also directed, colored, and wrote) writer-director on other shorts like Paracosm and Ultimum and served behind the camera as a cinematographer and production assistant in early projects. That wide lens lets me see post-production not just as a technical step but as the beating heart of storytelling.

My approach? I sculpt images like a composer sculpts silence: I pay attention to pacing, tone, and emotional weight. I work primarily in professional editing tools, bending color, sound, and narrative structure to amplify what’s already there. I believe in collaboration working alongside directors, writers, and producers to unlock the fullest potential of their vision and push the story further.

BK Film is my creative space ...a place where frames become sentences, and every cut is intentional. It’s not just about polishing what was shot; it’s about finding what’s unspoken.
